A pair of devastating attacks has shocked the capital of Iran. At least 12 people have been killed in twin attacks on the Iranian Parliament and Ayatollah Khomeini’s mausoleum, one of Iran’s most sacred places.

According to Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence, a third attack was foiled. Around 42 people have reportedly been injured; six assailants, two at the mausoleum and four at the Parliament, were killed.

Deputy Interior Minister Mohammed Hossein Zolfaghari pointed out on state television that the gunmen were armed with Kalashnikovs and were dressed as women when they stormed the parliament building and opened fire.
At about the same time, nearly 30 km away from the Parliament, the second attack was carried out, with shooting and a suicide bombing targeting Ayatollah Khomeini’s shrine.

The Media Express, November 12, 2016 - On November 11, Iran Focus news website  disclosed that Alsharq Al-Awsat the Premier Pan-Arab Daily Newspaper, published a report on November 5th 2016, in which the results the research on the systematic executions and the massacre of the political prisoners in Iran in 1988. carried out by Khalij-e-Fars (Persian Gulf).
“The researchers did a research on the statistics and numbers as well as the events related to the systematic executions of Iran in 1988 when Khomeini came to power.”  The report continued, “The dictatorial regime ruling Iran is established on the gallows that Khomeini founded. This regime tried to follow suppression and execution as a way to get rid of rivals who are the fan of thoughts and progress in the political sovereignty,” read the report in the newspaper.
Meanwhile, the executions continue, these 37 years.
“Waging war against Islam”, “acting against the national security” and “rooting corruption in the society”, are the three charges on which These charges were the pretext of the Mullahs’ regime for eliminating the political dissidents.”  The research focused on these three charges, in regards to the execution of political prisoners.

The Guardian, 25 June 2016 - The husband of a British-Iranian woman who has been detained without charge in Tehran for 83 days has spoken of his anger over the Foreign Office’s handling of the matter.
Richard Ratcliffe told the Guardian he felt trade relations had been prioritized over the welfare of his wife, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, and their two-year-old daughter Gabriella. “I don’t think Nazanin and Gabriella’s case, nor any of the others, is a top priority at the moment,” he said, referring to four other British passport holders he understands are being detained in Iran. “The top priority of the Foreign Office is trade.”
Zaghari-Ratcliffe, who works for the Thomson Reuters Foundation as a project manager, was arrested at Tehran’s international airport by members of the country’s Revolutionary Guard on 3 April. She had been about to return to the UK from a family visit in her home country. This month the Revolutionary Guard released a statement accusing her of fomenting a “soft overthrow” of the Islamic Republic, which her husband described as “farcical”.
