The US should designate Iran's Revolutionary Guards as a | terrorist organization |
اف(PMOI /
MEK)
Recent revelations by the Iranian opposition group People's
Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) suggest that not
only is such a designation crucial, but it is long overdue.
The information, disclosed on Tuesday in a news conference
held in the Washington, D.C., office of the National
Council of Resistance of Iran, revealed new IRGC training
camps set up as part of the Iranian regime's strategy to
notch up its terrorist meddling in the Middle East.
According to the reports, hundreds of foreign fighters
trickle through Iran's borders every month to receive
training and be dispatched to other countries for terrorist
missions.
Two bills reintroduced lately in the Congress designated
the (IRGC) as terrorist organizations. There is a definite
necessity for the U.S. administration to designate the IRGC
as a terrorist entity, as peace and security across the
Middle East are under the constant threat of IRGC-supported
hostilities.
It is a known fact that Washington has a long of list of
disputes and conflicts provoked by Tehran. The IRGC is a
force of at least 120,000 armed men, and a known tactic
used by IRGC generals is to repeatedly highlight the threat
they pose for the west and regional states.

Ignoring the catastrophic situation of human rights in Iran by the international community and silence about mass and arbitrary executions has emboldened the religious fascism ruling Iran to continue its crimes. Any deal with this illegitimate regime must be contingent upon a halt to executions.

The conference will be held at the
NCRI office in Washington D.C. at 10:30 am eastern on February 14, 2017.
The conference focused on the types of training being done in Iran, but where the fighters are being sent, what is involved in the training and the names of those commanders who are involved in the training camps. In addition, using satellite imagery, the NCRI showed the locations of the training camps within Iran.
These training camps demonstrate that Iran is
exporting terrorism by training cells and dispatching them around the world, but focusing their efforts on the Middle East and unstable countries, such as Iraq, Syria and Yemen.
The NCRI compiled their report using information from the social network of the PMOI/MEK within Iran. The PMOI/MEK (People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran) was
formed in 1965 and is the largest and more organized Iranian opposition movement.
It is the main component of the coalition, National Council of Resistance of
Iran (NCRI). The MEK has been key in
intelligence about what is really going on within
Iran, particularly in regards to human rights issues and the regime’s nuclear activities.
The result is that the group has also been the main focus of the Iranian regime’s repression efforts. The Iranian lobby has also worked hard to smear the MEK’s reputation within the international community.
Despite these efforts, including attempting to have the MEK declared a terrorist organization and a cult, the movement has gained support as an alternative to the current Iranian regime.

terrorist list!. | Because the Iranian Revolutionary Guards is a mafia state. |
The Guards are the main force behind Iran’s nuclear program, lethal
meddling across the Middle East, ballistic missile drive and
domestic crackdown.
IRGC’s intelligence arm is today holding a number of U.S. citizens
in prison in Tehran on spurious charges. Its foreign expeditionary
branch, the Quds Force, is spearheading Iran’s military
interventions in places such as Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan. From
Lebanon to Syria to Iraq and elsewhere, it has helped create a
variety of Shiite militant proxy groups that it arms and
indoctrinates into its sectarian and anti-American worldview.
At home, the Guard’s generals are the biggest obstacle to the
demands of the mass movement that has tried to bring about gradual
political change. IRGC bosses regularly threaten reformist leaders
with death. Meanwhile, the organization’s insatiable appetite for
money has put it in control of about 20 percent of the Iranian
economy. Its extortionist methods are so flagrant that even an
ally, former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, once referred to them
as “our smuggler brothers.”
Holds the Key
In other words, on key issues that matter most to the United States
-- from Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs to its
military interventions across the region -- it is the words and
actions of the IRGC leadership that Washington needs to first
consider as the Trump White House develops its Iran policy. And
simply hinting at possibly listing the IRGC as a terrorist
organization is an important step in the effort to influence the
shadowy organization’s behavior.
