And with a change of government, the Iranian resistance has reached out to the US with a strong message.

"First, make your commercial and diplomatic relations contingent on end to executions and torture in Iran," Rajavi began.
"Second, expel the Iranian regime's criminal and invasive forces who have infiltrated the region by taking advantage of the West's silence and appeasement.

"Third, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) is the main perpetrator of repression and killings in Iran and the main perpetrator of war and terrorism in the region. It must be designated as a terrorist organisation and its freedom of action contained.

"And finally, respect the Iranian people's struggle for freedom," she added.
Iran has twice been added to Trump's lists of countries whose citizens are temporarily banned from entering the US – with the Islamic Republic threatening a reciprocal ban against US citizens visiting Iran.

While criticizing the Iranian regime’s malign behavior, Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman, John McCain (R-AZ) said, 'I think the only thing that the Iranian regime understands is, as Ronald Reagan called it, peace through strength.  But most of all, I hope that we can give the people who are now residing in that country the hope and belief and commitment to all of us that someday they will know freedom again.'

Foreign Relations Committee member, Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) welcomed the resettlement of thousands of Iranian dissidents, the residents of Camp Liberty, Iraq, in Albania and thanked the Albanian Ambassador for her country’s efforts to this end.  

Homeland Security Committee member, Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) recognized the need for a bi-partisan effort in US Senate to prevent 'proliferation in the hands of this regime that has one of the worst human rights records anywhere on the planet, which constantly is suppressing any kind of free press or demonstrations or any kinds of activities as a free society, we simply cannot let them have those weapons of mass destruction.'

International Business Times, March 22, 2017 - The leader of the Iranian resistance has sent a strong message to the new US administration: Cease relations with Iran until the country stops torture and executions.

Maryam Rajavi , the leader of the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, spoke at a gathering in the Albanian capital Tirana to mark the Persian New Year and took the opportunity to issue some demands to US President Donald Trump’s administration.

John Bolton, the former US Ambassador to the UN appeared on the stage in the gathering of the Iranian Resistance on the occasion of the Iranian New Year ' Nowruz .'
Mr. Bolton expressed delight to be among the Iranian opposition members in the great country of Albania.

He said: ’Glad to meet you here, I have every confidence that one day we meet again in a free Iran.'
Talking to a huge crowd of jubilant combatants Bolton added; 'I have a few words to Mullahs in Tehran. The golden era of relations with the United States is over. It is vitally important that the whole world understands that American policy on Mullahs’ regime in support of international terrorism and nuclear power program, is fundamentally changed.'

He emphasized, 'There are details that remain to be worked out, but the notion that this regime in Tehran has any legitimacy and can be trusted to honor its commitments, those illusions has been swept aside.'

May this year's celebration harbinger the defeat of Velayat-e Faqih who has enchained Iran! May this Nowruz mark the advent of the spring of freedom and national sovereignty in Iran!
May the end of winter this year harbinger the defeat of the mullahs' belligerence and aggression in the region, and I particularly wish for the liberation of the people of Syria from the clutches of this brutal regime.
