Rafsanjani was one of the killers of 30 thousand
massacre 67 years.

cannot allow this grisly crime to go unpunished,
particularly when they know that the murderers are not
only still alive, but in positions of power inside
Iran. Ruthless killers like Raisi and Pour-Mohammadi
must be held to account and indicted for crimes
against humanity.

Rafsanjani died of a heart attack on Sunday, Jan. 8.
Although relatively unknown in the West, the r-old
Raisi was a key member of the “Death Commission” that
in the summer of 1988, oversaw the massacre of 30,000
political prisoners, mostly members of the opposition
People’s Mojahedin of Iran (PMOI or MEK).

If appointed as head of the Expediency Council, Raisi
will be the second member of the ‘Death Commission’ to
achieve a key post in the oppressive Iranian regime’s
ruling administration. Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi, another
member of the ‘Death Commission’, is today Iran’s
Justice Minister, appointed by the so-called
‘moderate’ President Hassan Rouhani. In his three
years in office Rouhani has presided over a horrific
record of arbitrar

round 3,000 people have been hanged since he took
office, with over 20 executed so far this year.
Hangings and floggings are often carried out in city
squares and football stadiums as a warning against
anyone inclined to oppose the theocratic regime.

Misogyny reigns in Iran.

Two Young Women Arrested in Iran for Riding Motorcycle
“Misogyny and suppression of women as second class citizens
have been a cornerstone of the clerical regime ruling Iran
since its inception. But as the regime is getting weaker and
dissent by the population, in particular among the youth, is
on the rise, the regime has stepped up its suppression in
all aspects, including suppression of women

“The fact that the notion of ‘moderation’ and ‘reform’ is a
total myth under Hassan Rouhani is becoming more evident on
a daily basis,” Gobadi added

On January 4, a Judiciary official announced that six people
were arrested in Tabriz (northwest Iran) in connection with
modeling and cyberspace ‘crimes’.

The state-run news agency, Fars, affiliated to the
Revolutionary Guards, reported on December 27, 2016 that 25
people including an actor and an author of satirical
programs were arrested in Tehran after the police and
security forces raided a party.

Madadzadeh says:

“The message of the Iranian people to western governments,
and my message today is that you must adhere to the three
decades of struggle by the Iranian people to break free from
the clutches of this regime and accept the true freedom

The slogan of the people of Iran: Political prisoners must be freed!

Iran's notorious prisons, what comes over prisoners?!.

Iran's notorious prisons, what comes over prisoners?!.

IRAN: “PRISONERS OF CONSCIENCE AT RISK OF DYING AFTER PROLONGED HUNGER
STRIKE” – UNITED NATIONS EXPERT WARNS

GENEVA ( United Nations office) 9 January 2017 - The United Nations Special
Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran, Ms. Asma Jahangir, today
raised alarm over the critical health situation of several prisoners of
conscience on prolonged hunger strike in the country.
In recent weeks, at least eight prisoners of conscience have been on life-

threatening hunger strike in Iran to contest the legality of their
detention. Among them are Mr. Saeed Shirzad, Mr. Ali Shariati, Mr. Mohammad
Reza Nekounam, Mr. Hassan Rastegari Majd, Mr. Mehdi Koukhian, Mr. Nizar
Zakka, and Mr. Mohammed Ali Taheri.
Another prisoner, Mr. Arash Sadeghi, ended last week the hunger strike he
had started on 24 October 2016, after his wife -Ms. Golrokh Ebrahimi Iraee-
was released on bail.

“Both Mr. Sadeghi and Ms. Ebrahimi Iraee are human rights defenders who have
been imprisoned for peacefully exercising their rights to freedom of
expression and association,” the expert said
The Special Rapporteur noted that, despite his critical health condition,
Mr. Sadeghi is being denied transfer to specialized medical facilities and
is reportedly kept in his cell.

Fears have also been expressed for children’s rights activist Saeed Shirzad,
who was sentenced to five years in prison in 2015, and began a hunger strike
on 7 December 2016, and for Mohammed Ali Taheri, who started a hunger strike
on 28 September and whose whereabouts have been unknown since his reported
transfer to Baghiatollah Military Hospital in October.

The United Nations expert also drew attention to the situation of Hassan
Rastegar Majd, who is reported to be held in solitary confinement in
retaliation for his prolonged hunger strike.
Ms. Jahangir’s call has been endorsed by the Special Rapporteur on the
situation of human rights defenders, Mr. Michel Forst; and the Chair-
Rapporteur of the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention, Mr. Roland
Adjovi.

Iranian protests against executions in Iran under the mullahs torturing prisoners

Iranian political prisoners demand the world's attention

Iranian political prisoners demand the world's attention

Moezzi has faced repression from the Islamic Republic since its earliest days. He spent years in prison in the 1980's for his affiliation with the Iranian opposition group, the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (PMOI/MEK).

He served two more years, beginning in 2008, for having visited his two daughters residing in Camp Ashraf, Iraq. He has arrested again in 2011, seven months after his latest release, because he had attended the funeral of a fellow political prisoner, another MEK activist who had died because authorities denied him access to life-saving medical treatment.
Over the course of Moezzi’s long history as a prisoner of conscience, he has faced many different forms of pressure, including the arbitrary and unlawful extension of his most recent prison term beyond its specified four years.

This presents a challenge because it is more difficult to rally people around a cause that they cannot see with their own eyes. These atrocities must not be allowed to continue in the shadows.

This is the challenge that must be overcome; it simply requires serious commitment, and a broad-based campaign that encompasses much more of the international community and media. World powers must take an interest in this case, and in the overall plight of Iranian prisoners of conscience.

This imperative is actually underscored by the recent successes of Iran’s domestic activists, particularly in the Sadeghi case.
If the global community remains silent, it is sending the clear message to the Iranian regime that it can get away with such crimes with impunity. That is a message we must not condone with our silence.

One of the players died crime in Iran

Influential former Iranian regime president, Hashemi Rafsanjani died at age 82

Influential former Iranian regime president, Hashemi Rafsanjani died at age 82

prison on charges of criticizing the ruling system.
In 2013, Iran's election watchdog rejected his nomination for the presidential campaign, hinting at his age.
In 2015, a court sentenced his younger son, Mahdi, to a 10-year prison term over embezzlement and security charges.
Rafsanjani is survived by his wife, Effat Marashi, and five children.

TEHRAN, Iran, Jan. 8, 2017 — Former Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, a wily political survivor and multimillionaire mogul who remained among the ruling elite, died Sunday, state TV reported. He was 82.
Iranian media reported earlier Sunday that he was taken to a hospital north of Tehran because of a heart condition. State television broke into programming to announce his death.
Rafsanjani's mix of sly wit and reputation for cunning moves — both in politics and business — earned him a host of nicknames such as Akbar Shah during a life that touched every major event in Iranian affairs since before the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

While Rafsanjani was blocked from the 2013 ballot by Iran's election overseers — presumably worried about boosting his already wide-ranging influence — the former leader embraced Rouhani's success.
'Now I can easily die since people are able to decide their fate by themselves,' he reportedly said last March.
However, Rouhani now faces a crucial presidential election in May which will serve as a referendum on the deal and thawing relations with the West.
Rafsanjani was sharply critical of a move by Iran's constitutional watchdog to block Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the Islamic Republic's founder, from running for a top clerical body in elections last year.
Rafsanjani was a close aide of Khomeini and served as president from 1989 to 1997 during a period of significant changes in Iran.
