MARYAM RAJAVI'S# MESSAGE, ON THE COLLECTIVE EXECUTION OF POLITICAL PRISONERS#

President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran
President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran

The valiant young hanged at the behest of the mullahs' supreme leader Ali Khamenei, symbolize our nation's determination to overthrow the clerical regime. They have also revealed the theocratic regime's desperate attempts to postpone its inevitable demise by massacring political prisoners.
The day is not far when Khamenei and other regime leaders would be brought to justice in an international court for their genocides in Iran, Iraq and Syria.
These courageous youths defied the ruling religious dictatorship. This is not a crime, but a duty and a responsibility that every conscious and freedom-loving Iranian must undertake. Fighting and waging war on Khamenei's religious dictatorship is akin to worshiping God and His people. Any young man or woman who takes a step in this path, is a source of pride and admiration by the people of Iran.
From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely condole the bereaved people of Sanandaj, our Sunni compatriots, and particularly the families of those slain. I assure them that their countrymen all across the nation are on their side and share their grief and sorrow.

In the Memory of 30,000 Fallen Roses The Anniversary of the #1988 Massacre in Iran#

The massacre of more than 30 thousand political prisoners in Iranian prisons in 1988

The massacre of more than 30 thousand political prisoners in Iranian prisons in 1988

Exclusive
28 years have gone since the horrific and brutal massacre of political prisoners that was carried out in just one short summer by the criminal mullahs ruling Iran.
In the summer of 1988, the clerical regime summarily and extra-judicially executed about 30,000 political prisoners held in jails across the country. This heinous massacre was carried out upon a fatwa by the Islamic regime founder, Ruhollah Khomeini.
There are strong indications that Khomeini’s fatwa was issued on July 26, 1988.
The Iranian regime has never acknowledged these executions, or provided any information as to how so many prisoners were killed in a matter of just a few months.
The majority of those executed were either serving prison sentences for their political activities or had already finished their sentences but their time in jail was extended.

The USS Nitze fired flares, sounded its whistles and tried to communicate with Iranian military vessels which came within 300 yards of the ship in the Strait of Hormuz

WASHINGTON (AFP) - 25 Aug. 2016- Four Iranian military vessels sped close to two US Navy guided missile destroyers with their weapons uncovered in the Strait of Hormuz in an 'unsafe and unprofessional' encounter between the longtime foes, American defense officials said.
The USS Nitze shot warning flares, sounded its whistles and attempted unsuccessfully to communicate with the Iranian boats during Tuesday's incident, US Central Command spokesman Commander Kyle Raines said in a statement, adding that the Iranian vessels came within 300 yards (meters) of the American destroyer. The Nitze was accompanied on its mission by the USS Mason, another destroyer.
The encounter occurred in international waters in the strait, a vitally important choke point with Iran to its north and the United Arab Emirates to the south.
The destroyer had to change course to avoid a possible collision, even though it was near offshore oil rigs.

The Washington Examiner, Aug. 23, 2016 - The State Department confirmed Monday that the Obama administration has paid Iran another $1.3 billion to settle a failed arms deal from 1979, but couldn't describe who in the Iran government it paid, and couldn't say what form that payment took — cash, check or otherwise.
The State Department also admitted it can't guarantee that the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps wouldn't be able to get its hands on the money eventually.
'We can always hand it over to someone who can hand it over to the IRGC,' State Department spokesman Mark Toner told reporters. Many in the U.S. see the IRGC as being responsible for helping to finance terrorism.
