Iran carried out mass execution of Sunni Kurds, not even allowing many families a chance to say goodbye
Reports circulating show that Iran has carried out behind closed doors, a mass execution of Sunni Kurds at the infamous Gohardasht Prison, located just west of Tehran. Reports indicate that up to 33 Kurds have been executed. The National Council of Resistance of Iran has carried out the reports of executions obtaining from the families of the victims.
Iranian regime authorities contacted families to let them say their final goodbye, but apparently carried out the mass execution ahead of the scheduled time. Many families were told that they were too late, that their loved ones had already been hanged, and that they needed to collect the bodies.

Iran executed up to 20 Kurdish Islamists on Tuesday who were suspected of attacks on security forces, drawing condemnation from rights groups which said the convictions may have been based on forced confessions.
U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein said the men had been executed for 'purported terrorism-related offences' and that reports suggested most if not all were from a minority group – Sun

Experts See Iranian Link in Attempt to Hack Syrian Dissident

Paris, Associated Press-Aug 2, 2016 - Syrian opposition activist Noura Al-Ameer was combing through her emails late one night when a message caught her eye. The sender was 'Assadcrimes' and he promised information about Iranian meddling in the Middle East. But the email seemed odd.
Al-Ameer turned to her husband, cybersecurity trainer Bahr Abdul Razzak, in their small, book-cluttered home in the Turkish city of Gaziantep.
'Have you heard of this group before?' Al-Ameer asked.
'No,' he said. 'But let me check the email.'
Abdul Razzak, a fellow at internet watchdog group Citizen Lab, quickly determined that the group was bogus. The email, sent on Oct. 3 last year, was an electronic trap — one of hundreds of malicious messages that have flown back and forth as rebels grapple with the government of Bashar Assad in Syria. This one had been aimed at snaring Al-Ameer in particular; the website registered by the hacker was in her name, suggesting an attempt to stea

Pope Francis waves during a press conference on the plane after his visit to Krakow for the World Youth Day, on July 31, 2016

Pope Francis said on Sunday that it was wrong to identify Islam with violence and that social injustice and idolatry of money were among the prime causes of terrorism.
'I think it is not right to identity Islam with violence,' he told reporters aboard the plane taking him back to Rome after a five-day trip to Poland. 'This is not right and this is not true.'
Francis was responding to a question about the killing on July 26 of an 85-year-old Roman Catholic priest by knife-wielding attackers who burst into a church service in western France, forced the priest to his knees and slit his throat. The attack was claimed by Islamic State.
