Iran, July 22, 2020—The third online meeting of the Iranian Resistance’s annual event,
the “Free Iran Global Summit,” was held on Monday, July 20, in Ashraf 3,
the headquarters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization or Iran (PMOI/MEK), and in many cities across the world

. Titled, “Iran Regime’s Terrorism
 – Shut Down Tehran’s Embassies Abroad, Expel its Agents, Operatives,” the event brought together hundreds of
distinguished political figures from the United States, Europe, and Albania. The keynote speaker of the event was Mrs
. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

 In her speech, Mrs. Rajavi briefly explained the theoretical foundations of the mullahs’ regime's terrorism,
 the history and reasons for its growth and expansion.
“Terrorism is the essence and fundamental nature of this regime and it is inseparable from it,” Mrs.

 Rajavi emphasized in her speech and reminded the remarks of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi,
 who had said: “If someday, the regime abandons the export of fundamentalism and terrorism abroad and
 limit itself within Iran’s boundaries, if will implode and disintegrate.”
The veracity of this statement has been proven time and again in the past four decades.

The Iranian resistance has consistently stressed that the regime's use of terrorism and reaction is not due to its power and stability,
 but to the inability of a medieval regime to adapt to the demands of the contemporary world.

Iran, March 31, 2020—The past week has seen riots in many Iranian prisons. It started in Khoramabad and Aligoudarz, followed by Tabriz and Saqqez. On Saturday night the wave of prison riots reached Hamedan and Mahabad prisons. On Sunday night it was the turn of Adelabad Prison of Shiraz. On Monday, there were reports of riots in Ahvaz prison.


The incidents are taking place against the backdrop of the worsening coronavirus outbreak, which has so far claimed the lives of more than 14,200 people. Iran’s prisons, in particular, are hit badly as humanitarian conditions continue to deteriorate.

Prison escapes, a sign of dissolution

While the regime’s forces seemed to be on high alert after the first prison riot broke out, the continued rebellion in prisons and the escape of prisoners shows the regime instability and its failure to maintain its hold on the situation.

 This can also be seen as the other side of the coin which shows the regime’s failure in imposing its force on its larger prisoner population, the Iranian society, a society that is on the verge of bursting from anger. 

The Iranian society is another example of big prisons made by the mullahs by imposing economic pressure, suppression, harsh suffocation and now the coronavirus crisis has been added to it.

Iran, December 25, 2019— “The international community must take urgent action to stop the killings [in Iran] and ensure the release of those arrested [during nationwide protests in November],” Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), said in her Christmas message on Tuesday.

While expressing her best wishes to Christians in Iran and across the world, Mrs. Rajavi reiterated the plight of the Iranian people, who have risen across the country in recent months to overthrow the tyrannical regime ruling in Iran for more than 40 years.

 Protests that began over the sudden increase in the price of gasoline turned int a nationwide uprising calling for the ouster of the ruling mullahs.

In response, the Iranian regime has engaged in a killing spree, killing more than 1,500 protesters, injuring more than 4,000 and arresting 12,000 others.

 There are reports that the regime that many prisoners have died under torture in Iran's prisoners since protests began in November.

Thirty-nine bipartisan United States Members of Congress have jointly submitted a new resolution condemning the Iranian regime's terrorist acts against U.S. citizens and supporters of the main democratic Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or Mujahedin-e Khalq, MEK).

House of Representative Resolution 374 also expresses support for the Iranian people’s desire for a democratic, secular, and non-nuclear republic of Iran.

The resolution states that Iranian opposition leader Maryam Rajavi’s 10-point plan for the future of Iran calls for the universal right to vote, free elections, and a market economy, and advocates gender, religious, and ethnic equality, a foreign policy based on peaceful coexistence, and a non-nuclear Iran.

Highlighting the Iranian regime’s terrorist activity on European soil, the resolution calls on U.S. Government agencies to work with European allies, including those in the Balkans, where Iran has expanded its presence, to hold Iran accountable for breaching diplomatic privileges, and to call on nations to prevent the malign activities of the Iranian regime’s diplomatic missions, with the goal of closing them down, including the Iranian embassy in Albania.

DAMAGE IN KHUZESTAN PROVINCE

More than two weeks of severe floods have devastated Iran and created a nationwide crisis. 

Three consecutive floods destroyed homes, dams, businesses, and public buildings; flooded and blocked roads; contaminated water supplies; and took hundreds of lives.

 Tens of thousands of people in numerous flood-stricken provinces now desperately need emergency assistance, but forty years of mismanagement and corruption has left the Iranian regime without the resources or competence to do so.

Conditions in Khuzestan Province are dire.

 On Wednesday, the Dez River in Khuzestan Province overflowed and flooded a number of nearby sugarcane farms, causing severe damage.

INU- As we approach International Women’s Day, we have seen many instances of women being treated barbarically under the Iranian Regime, with the most prominent examples that come to mind being the normalisation of domestic abuse via Iranian state TV and the continued legalisation of child marriages.

Marcin Święcicki, an MP from Poland and a former minister for foreign economic relations, told the NCRI’s press conference in Warsaw:

“I am here to support the democratic opposition of Iran. I have already participated in a few meetings of the Iranian opposition in Paris, and as Mayor Rudy Giuliani said, the regime tried to bomb these rallies.

Poland had to fight for its freedom, and the Iranian people are doing the same. That’s why we support the democratic opposition in Iran against a regime that is suppressing its people.

Since grabbing power in 1979, the Islamic Republic of Iran has executed, killed and tortured thousands of political dissidents and ordinary Iranians who dared challenge its rule.
The Iranian regime knows that the moment it stops its systematic use of execution, torture and suppression, it will collapse at the hands of the people of Iran.

Most executions were carried out in public after the victims were asked a few questions without the possibility to defend themselves.

In Ahvaz city, through which passes Karun, Iran’s largest river, the citizens’ water looks nothing like purified, drinkable water and is filled with mud and minerals.

Rouhani's absurd solutions to Iran's water crisis

But even more outrageous than the regime’s corrupt policies that have led to the creation and exacerbation of the water crisis are its so-called plans to solve the problem.

On Tuesday, Iranian regime president Hassan Rouhani held a meeting with the authorities of the energy ministry and gave plenty of promises and orders to solve the country’s water problems. But those promises sound more hollow and absurd than ever.

“We shouldn’t let any problems bother the people. The people shouldn’t become upset,” Rouhani said in the meeting, which he called after his government’s inefficiency in solving the water crisis was criticized even by officials and personalities closely tied to the regime.

“The education ministry and the teachers should come to the aid of the energy ministry in saving water and electricity,” Rouhani said, suggesting that water shortage problems stem from lack of education.

A number of political dignitaries attended and addressed the conference where members and representatives of Iranian communities in Europe and Canada participated and delivered speeches. A number of eyewitnesses to the massacre and former political prisoners also testified at this event.

MARYAM RAJAVI MEETS U.S. PRESIDENT’S ATTORNEY, RUDY GIULIANI

Friday, June 29, 2018 – Maryam Rajavi met this evening with Rudy Giuliani, attorney to the President of the United States. The meeting took place at the office of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Paris on the eve of the Iranian Resistance’s annual grand gathering.

They discussed the latest developments in Iran including the expansion of popular protests against the clerical regime in Tehran and other Iranian cities as well as the regime’s fragile condition.

Maryam Rajavi reiterated that the protests have continued despite a massive wave of arrests and suppression. This indicates ripe circumstances and the volatile state of the society. At the same time, it vindicates the Iranian Resistance’s strategy and the undeniable roles of resistance units.

There is no going back, Mrs. Rajavi added. The regime’s overthrow at the hands of the Iranian people and Resistance is certain, and the regime has no way out.

Mayor Giuliani said the U.S. Administration has announced that the mullahs’ regime has usurped the sovereignty of the Iranian people. Mr. Giuliani pointed out, as the U.S. President and Secretary of State have repeatedly declared, this is a corrupt regime and the people of Iran have been its longest suffering victims.

Rudy Giuliani is among the signatories of the statement signed by 33 U.S. dignitaries addressed to the Iranians’ rally, Free Iran – The Alternative, in support of the National Council of Resistance of Iran and the ten-point plan of the NCRI President-elect.

Some 100,000 Iranians and their supporter as well as dozens of current and former senior officials from five continents are expected to attend the rally.

The advocacy section, entitled, “Iran: The Alternative, and sponsored by Iranian American communities, included a section on the ten-point plan of Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, and another one on eight characteristics of an alternative.

 It also included a page on the anti-government uprisings that engulfed 142 cities in Iran and involved virtually every sector of society.

Iran, June 3, 2018 - As strikes and protests expand across Iran and people from all walks of life lose their patience, the society’s explosive conditions have reached a point that this powder keg may explode at any moment.
This is an undeniable reality and a long slate of Iranian regime officials are acknowledging by voicing concerns.

“The people’s deep dissent regarding the economic situation is quite obvious and in such circumstances if the people are instigated by anyone the result can render enormous security concerns,” he said. (State-run Khabar Online website – May 27)
These remarks are made considering this reality that developments inside Iran are gaining speed and momentum, and people are demanding regime change.

The protests of farmers east of Isfahan had yet to settle when residents of Kazerun began their demonstrations. A short while afterwards locals of Shahroud rose in dissent and we are now witnessing the ongoing nationwide strike of tens of thousands of truck drivers in nearly 300 cities.

Maryam Rajavi attended a ceremony marking the Iranian New Year, Nowruz, on March 20th at a gathering of members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Albania.
At the outset, Maryam Rajavi laid wreath to a memorial in honor of the martyrs of the December-January uprising.
She congratulated the Iranian people on the arrival of the New Year, noting that the Iranian year 1396 ended with the season of uprising and that 1397 must be turned into a year full of uprisings. This is an uprising and revolution until victory, she said.
Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and a number of Albanian political figures also took part in the celebrations.

This year’s spring has passed through the uprisings. Indeed, 

Every advocate of democracy and human rights throughout the world should keep a close eye on Iran as its people celebrate Chaharshanbe Suri and take their final steps toward Nowruz. With support from the international community, the Iranian people may finally achieve a new system of government that embraces not only democracy but also civil, political, religious and cultural liberty for Iranians of every demographic background.

The people of Iran, however, appreciate their rich history and embrace their diversity. Cultural celebrations are, therefore, frequently the subject of clashes between the government and its people. The regime’s backlash against these celebrations even rivals its backlash against explicitly political demonstrations. And sometimes the two areas of public interest converge.

This Tuesday marks Chaharshanbe Suri, the Persian Festival of Fire, which takes place just before the Iranian New Year celebration of Nowruz, which translates as “new day.” It involves massive public gatherings in which, among other things, celebrants jump over small fires as a symbol of purification. Year after year, the regime tries to prevent the festival’s gatherings because of the holiday’s pre-Islamic roots — but also to deny free assembly to Iranian citizens.

Welcome to the home of the Iranian Resistance. I am glad to see you here and have the opportunity to discuss with you the changing circumstances in Iran. The conditions in Iran are constantly changing and I would like to focus on four issues, today. Then, I would be more than glad to hear your views. These four issues are:

- The uprising was a turning point in Iranian developments;
- Evaluation of the regime’s status in confronting the uprising;
- The role of the Iranian Resistance in the developments and guaranteeing stability, peace and security;
- And finally, the right Europe policy on Iran.

Before anything else, I urged the Council of Europe to help in the efforts to secure the release of those arrested in the recent uprising.

After participating and addressing official meetings EPP, UEL and ALDE groups at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Maryam Rajavi addressed a gathering of representatives from various political groups in the Council of Europe and prominent European personalities entitled, “Freedom of Prisoners of Uprising.” Maryam Rajavi said in her remarks:

Good evening,
Today, in meetings with various political groups of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, I explained about the current special circumstances in Iran.

Tehran has made every effort to suppress and destroy MEK since the advent of the Islamic Republic. The organization played a role in the 1979 revolution against the Shah, but opposed the establishment of absolute clerical rule. Since then, it has been a tireless advocate for regime change in favor of a democratic system.

Iran Regime’s Weakness and Its Fear From Pmoi/Mek Exposed During the Uprising

London, 18 Jan - At the beginning of 2018, Citing Iran's "state television", AFP reported that while making a clear allusion to the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK), Rouhani told President Macron, "We criticize the fact that a group has a base in France and acts against the Iranian people and encourages violence. We expect the French government to act against this terrorist group ".

These remarks reflected above all the anxiety of the mullahs' regime in the face of the expansion of the uprising against the religious dictatorship and the growing popularity of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK).and the Iranian Resistance. Rouhani accused the MEK of violence, while the European Union, its member countries, as well as the United States, strongly criticized the Iranian regime for the repression of demonstrations, killing and seriously injuring many people and President Macron has expressed concern on the death of the protestors. To date, dozens of unarmed protesters have been killed by Revolutionary Guards and thousands more arrested.

As stated by Kasra Nejat in Columbia tribune, according to the opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), at least 8,000 people were detained within the first two weeks; the regime admits to approximately half this number. Its judiciary was quick to threaten death sentences for “those most responsible.”
There is little mystery about what sort of charges will be used to justify such killings; a wide range of political offenses can result in execution in the Islamic Republic, including membership in banned organizations and the crime of mohabareh, or “enmity against God.” In fact, the latter was codified in Iranian law largely for the purpose of establishing death as the default punishment for members of the leading opposition group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK).
